Officiate the running of the race, observing for compliance with state laws and commission rules and issue appropriate rulings if needed; interpret and enforce commission laws and rules; work in conjunction with Commission Security to investigate potential rule violations outside of the Stewards stand. Function as a member of the three person quasi-judicial panel by conducting hearings on alleged rule violations, hear testimony and evidence on the allegations, deliberate on the matter in question, and determine the appropriate sanctions.

Racing official; record rider changes, produce the next day's program, getting entries filled and getting the overnight completed for the following race day.

Take race entries insuring eligibility, assist with race draws and take stakes nominations. Provide official order of finish and race times. Proof racing program. Perform all necessary duties with internet, faxing, copying, 10 key work and shipping.
