Job Description:

Verifies identification of horses in the Paddock prior to the race. Checks identifying features, such as tattooed registration number on lip and physical appearance with official records and photographs to ensure only horses scheduled to race are permitted in paddock.

Notifies track officials when doubt exists as to horses' identity.

harness racing judge

I am a ROAP Level 1 Accredited Harness racing judge with a current CE; I am also a USTA licensed judge. I am looking for a judge job, either as an Associate or as a Presiding Judge. Location is not important. I would prefer seasonal work but will accept year 'round work as well. I have no personal responsibilities that prevent me from working unconventional hours and/or days. Position Summary:
The Racing Official position is responsible for performing
multiple functions in the Racing Operation. The candidate
must have experience in multiple positions pertaining to the
Racing department operation including, but not limited to,
Entry Clerk, Stakes Coordinator, Claims Clerk, Placing
Judge, and Participation in the Entry Draw Process.
Essential Functions
Entry Clerk:
• Enter horses into races offered by the Racing

Horse Identifier

Daily Management of all thoroughbred digital/paper foal certificates, vaccination records & coggins'.
Experience with handling thoroughbred horses is strongly recommended
General Computer & Technology Skills is strongly recommended
Knowledge of the Incompass System is a plus

Racing Secretary

Seeking Flat Steward Position

 I am seeking a full time Flat Racing Steward Position. I have been Roap certified since 2007, and worked for 10 years as a Senior Racing Steward in California, at all the major tracks. I was a Thoroughbred horse trainer for 30 plus years prior to becoming a Steward. I started in Florida and Illinois, before moving to Southern California permanently in 1976. Steward or Racing official

I seek a position as a Steward or Racing official.  I have been certified by ROAP in prior years and just completed the course to renew this process.

I have been in horse racing for many years and worked as patrol judge, clerk of scales, placing judge, paddock judge, inter track steward in California for many years.  I have held a license as a trainer in 7 different states. Also have had experience as a racing official in Texas.

My career started as an exercise ride, jockey and I have managed a breeding farm and racing program in Kentucky.
