LSRC - Licensing and Test Barn

 Receive horses from horse guard for testing  Assist horse handler with the change from racing bridle to halter, verify handler's LSRC license, and verify horse tattoo and/or microchip.  Assist handler with bathing the horse if necessary and help, if required, to remove bandages.  Assist the veterinarian when collecting blood samples for testing and keeping watch of the horse the entire time it is in the barn.  Collect urine when the horse is ready, using medical exam gloves to collect and handle sample, making sure the integrity of the sample is maintained.  Package sample in

 Verify that correct horses arrive in the paddock for each race by checking tattoo numbers, microchip numbers, sex, color and markings and comparing those with The Jockey Club documents of registration.  Maintain Jockey Club Track Master database for Fair Grounds Race Track.  Input and update Coggins Results.  Update owner, trainer, and horse information as needed.  Communicate effectively and maintain relationships with trainers, owner, stewards, and track personnel
