Description:  

The NMRC State Steward is responsible for overseeing New Mexico horse racing events to ensure all NMRC rules and regulations are followed by participants.  The Racing Steward oversees New Mexico race meets and enforces the rules of racing in accordance with State Statutes.

Requirements: 

Must be accredited through the Racing Officials Accreditation Program (ROAP) for Stewards, Judges, and Officials sponsored by the University of Louisville and Arizona's Race Track Industry Program.  Must be a fully accredited Flat Racing Steward including 225 days experience as a racing official plus 50 days as a steward.
