Paddock Blacksmith

The Maryland Jockey Club (TMJC) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions in the Racing Department at Laurel Park Racecourse in Laurel Maryland:
Farrier – Blacksmith for our live racing operations. This position is part-time, three (3) days per week, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The racing hours Blacksmith is required to be at the paddock from 11:30am until approximately 5pm. Pay is weekly - $200 daily
This position is vital to the well-being and performance of our equine athletes. We are looking for a skilled blacksmith who is knowledgeable of serving thoroughbred racehorses and the specialized care they need to compete safely in racing.
