Director of Racing, British Columbia

The province of British Columbia is seeking a Director of Racing who reports to the Executive Director Compliance. The Director will be responsible for supervising a team of Judges, Stewards, Inspectors and administrative staff with BC Gaming legislation. This role is responsible for the overall requlation and control of Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing in BC where pari-mutual wagering is offered. In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the criteria outlined below:

- degree or diploma plus 5 years relevent work experience, management experience or a combination of education, training and related experience.

- knowledge of rules of Standardbred and Thoroughbred racing

- experience in a regulatory and compliance enviroment

- experience in negotiating and mediating solutions.
