William Gallo, Jr.

William Gallo, Jr., a native of New York, joined the staff of the National Steeplechase Association in 1977 after a brief career in public relations and advertising in Manhattan. Gallo, son of legendary New York Daily News sports cartoonist Bill Gallo, was named NSA Racing Secretary & Handicapper in 1984. He was promoted to Director of Racing in 1999, responsible for creating and supervising all NSA racing activity, and has since developed and coordinated the NSA stewards and officials training program that is recognized by the Racing Officials Accreditation Program. Gallo graduated from Villanova University in 1973 with a degree in Liberal Arts. He resides in Kennett Square, PA with his wife, K.T. They have two daughters, Marianna and Bella.
