Racing Official

Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida, is accepting applications for a full-time Racing Official. This position performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, Entry Clerk, Claims Clerk, and Placing Judge.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications
• Work to fill race cards by communicating with trainers via phone, text, and in person.
• Receive and record all entries accurately, verifying each component of the entry.
• Actively seek quality entries from trainers.
• Assist in verifying the accuracy of the daily overnight and program.
• As Placing Judge, verify the order of finish for each race, communicating with the Stewards and Mutuels Department as necessary to ensure an accurate result.
• As Claims Clerk, follow protocols to properly facilitate the claiming of horses from all claiming races.
• Moderate computer skills are necessary to perform this position effectively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
