The Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Standardbred Horse Racing, is seeking a responsible, hard working person who has experience in judging harness races. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the Judges books accident reports and daily reports to the Commission. If you are a person that has experience in this line of work, then this may be a position for you!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of penalties, rulings and decisions related to racing and rule on any matter that may be brought to the Judges relative to racing. The position will conduct hearings with involved parties when a penalty is determined.
- Work Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Sunday, Tuesday – Friday. Off Monday and Saturday.
- The salary is $310.00 Per Diem
- A Commission employee license is required for the position
- The position is vendor controlled and work hours/days are set according to the racing schedule
