Lasix Veterinarian (Full Time) - New York

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) is seeking a full-time Lasix Veterinarian to join its team.

Candidates should hold a DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree, a current NY State veterinary license (or eligibility for licensure) and have some equine experience.  Familiarity with thoroughbred or standardbred racing and industry protocols is a plus.  This position requires working on site at all three NYRA tracks during live race meets: Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park, and Saratoga Race Course.  A housing stipend is provided for the Saratoga Race Meet.

The Lasix Veterinarian will be responsible for administering Lasix on race days and for drawing blood for pre-race and out of competition drug testing protocols.  In addition he/she will help to maintain department files regarding the treatment and testing of horses racing at NYRA.

NYRA offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to be part of the rich tradition that defines New York racing.  To apply email resume to JLevine@nyrainc.com
