Chief Investigation Officer--State of Arizona

The State of Arizona is looking for a Chief Investigation Officer to be part of its regulatory management team.

In the fall of 2018, horseracing returns to a year-round schedule in our state.  This full-time, management position supervises all licensing and investigative duties at three Arizona horse race tracks, (Turf Paradise, October 2018 through May 2019)  Rillito Race Track (Spring 2019) and Arizona Downs (May 2019.) 

As part of a ADG-Division of Racing, you will investigate rules violations, supervise and work with licensing staff, make licensing recommendations to stewards and maintain order on the back stretch with a team of other investigative personnel to ensure the integrity of racing in Arizona.    

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience in law enforcement.
  • Experience in conducting or supervising investigations in some aspect of racing law enforcement.
  • Able to manage time and resources.
  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Be self-motivated and a strong positive influence on the job.
